Our ninth annual Memorial Day weekend Clearwater Beach Vacation.
A story, of sorts.
Friday was nice, we got to the lovely Spyglass safely, and with minimal arguing and or bloodshed amongst family members. We've been staying there since the second year, the former hotel being the Riviera. At the Riviera, we couldn't use the elevator, cos it would break down, and there were cockroaches in the pool. So, we switched over the the Spyglass, leaving our stair walking days behind.
And let me tell you, this place is classy. I mean, between the theiving maids (seriously) and the less than ample towel supply, I was upset to leave.
And I do mean classy.
Saturday morning was nice, we all woke the late, and went down to the beach by noon. It was really hot, and I think the sun index was nine, or something. SPF thirty five, thank you very much.
Mom wore a two piece, cos she's cute, and she can. And her stomach was burnt really badly, because she forgot to put sunscreen on it at all.
Sunday was the same routine, and we went to Bennigans for dinner. I had my first broccoli cheese soup, and it was delicious. Then, we went back on the island to sleep one more night in the questionably clean sheets.
Monday morning we left around noon, and stopped at Einstiens for some bagels and witty billboards.
oh, yeah.
Oh, and I'm Tom Cruise.
That's what it's all about.

but there is something so comforting waking up on sheets that aren't your own. and white ones, hotel sheets are always white and cold.
